As a worship pastor, I must be sure to watch and be aware of the audience as we lead them. Sure I understand that we have an audience of One, but it would be weird if we went off and enjoyed the Lord while everyone stands and watch. That being said, I enjoyed the songs on Wednesday night, but they might have been unfamiliar to our people. Therefore, some connections were made but it seemed as though it was not widespread.
So for all you worship leaders out there, be sure to gauge your people. Introduce new songs, that's ok. Just be sure not to be too aggressive with teaching. Give them a chance to meditate on the songs that you are singing.
