Sometimes you gotta do things that are a stopgap. Sometimes you gotta do things that set up the long term solution. Which do you find yourself doing more of? It seems as though if you do the short term fix, you end up spending more time and money than if you would have done the long term solution to begin with. Thoughts?

Band-aids are never intended to be permanent!
That said, sometimes a short-term solution is the only viable one. Sometimes we aren’t given the long-term solution until God has worked behind the scenes a bit. Other times, we don’t have all the “pieces”, time or finances to move ahead with what we see as a long-term solution. The keys are discernment and wisdom, and both can only come from walking closely with God, asking Him to keep our eyes and ears and hearts open to His solutions, whether we view them as short or long term. Doesn’t matter… when it comes from Him, it is the right solution! If you think of it from a “large picture” aspect, everything we do (other than lead people to Christ) is temporary! We are but a mist…
