I look around. Everything going on around us has a story that it is telling. I then try to find the spiritual significance in what I see. That’s what I do. If that doesn’t work then I just rip off someone else… kidding.

Creative process…why are cows black, white and brown? why are most animals created with variations of the same colors? Mammals are created in warm neutrals living amongst a cool canvas of greens and blues. reptiles are more brightly colored and live in neutral environments.God is indeed the ultimate visual and aural artist. Our best work imitates His glory.What do I do? choose my medium and just begin, something always comes of it.

My creative process begins with prayer. “Lord, what do you want me to see? What do you want me to know? What do you want me to do?” Then I close my eyes to block my own vision and listen for Him to tell me to open them. If I am writing, I listen for the idea. He is faithful! I also make it a practice to live with open heart-ears because He sometimes zaps me in the middle of a mundane activity!
