Sunday Recap…

Sunday was another incredible time of worship and bible study! It was great to have Dr. Brown at both services. Passion for missions oozes out of him. That passion will ignite into a huge flame that urges our people to share the gospel here and all over the world.

Bucket list

So I finally went to Chapel Hill!! I am probably the biggest Carolina fan that has never stepped foot on campus. I watched the Heels play Miami a few years ago in Miami but that was it. I was born here in NC into a family of Tarheels but never went to a game. Well, Thursday night, it all changed. Me and some friends went to Chapel Hill to see the Heels play FSU. I absolutely lived everything except that the Heels blew the game. Other than that, it was a great trip. We parked right there on Franklin Street. We ate a Spanky’s. We bought t shirts from Johnny T Shirt, Carolina Pride. I bought my boys a stuffed ram. I got my picture taken by the Old Well. Shook hands with the players and Butch Davis. Had incredible seats. Touched Ramses.

While I was there, I decided or my boys that they would go to school there. I figured I would by a loft somewhere close and we would all live there. I went ahead and paid for their tuition for 4 years too!

I had a great time and I can’t wait to go back!!!

Jesu Cristo…

So last night was the first installment of the Latin American Church that is meeting in the building here at North Campus. There is a Latin American Campus close to our Main campus that is part of HGBC, but now North is hosting their new services. This is very exciting times for our church and our community!

I wanted to go see the service last night, so after I led worship, I walked over and checked it out. This lady came up to me and started speaking in Spanish. Once I opened my mouth with my country accent, she quickly realized I was not Latino!

I got a glimpse of "people of all nations". There were several Latin American countries represented there.

Overall, very cool experience. God was and is honored!!

Creativity…

I am always trying to think of new ideas. Sometimes I make it, sometimes I don't.

I like to hear from others about their idea processes.

Gimme your thoughts…

Destination…

God is bringing the picture into a clear vision. Exciting times are just ahead. Ephesians 2:10 says… For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

That's great news! He's already prepared it, we just need to walk in it daily. We know where we are going. As Blackaby says, find where God is at work and join Him.

Don't go aimlessly…

So far…

I am really enjoying the op to meet new people. I know that I am saying this kind of stuff a lot but I really do mean it.

I figured I would write down some thoughts here since it has been a couple of days since the last post.

Do you feel as though you are encouraged?

I do, but I can also say that the most discouraging moments that I have had lately have come from christians. Why is that? Don't answer…I know why.

I am glad that God equips the called…

God has me here. Plain and simple. He is guiding this church, each ministry, hopefully each person. We have no business trying to fight against that.

Joining in with God is so much more satisfying than trying hold on to something else that doesn't matter. Our needs are provided by God, not man. That makes me grateful.

North campus folks are some worshippers!! I love it. I feel right at home. God leads and we follow. It's a beautiful thing. I haven't forgotten my old families, but I sure do love my new one!
